In this work of art, and most of Muhammad Al-Ani’s achievements are characterized by the character of simplicity, that is, he takes the style of the reluctant easy and this type of work needs awareness and a cultural background to understand it, that is to know what you want to say and does not aim to propose a work for the visual effect that takes the recipient with a passing ecstasy expressing his feelings in words Whether the achievement is beautiful or nice, this type of recipient is not targeted by the artist Mohamed Al-Ani because they cannot understand what he wanted to express. Through research and visually investigation, we find there is a stirring of joy, pleasure and hope in the darkness of the present that dominates the human reality today, so we moved to the magical atmosphere Realism that appeared in literature through German fictional and fictional works, as well as in South American literature in the early 1950s of the last century, by employing reality with magical imagination by using folk stories, and the result is works that give a sense of fun and travel through imagination. As in the story of El Aleph by Jorge Luis Borges, as well as the novel One Hundred Years of Isolation by the novelist Gabriel Garcia Marquez and the works of the writer Isabel Allende, there are relationships to the critical writings of Cultural Criticism by the well-known French philosopher Michel Foucault, who studied in a critical philosophical manner for many phenomena in a contemporary manner. When we prolong the contemplation of the artwork, we subconsciously move to worlds where pleasure, innocence, childhood and joy are mixed, so we sail the vast worlds of imagination and we were in a beautiful dream that gives us calm, reassurance, comfort and relaxation. These worlds make us feel that we are in the Alice In Wonderland movie or the wonderful Pushkin poem. Ruslan And Ludmila and Swedish novelist Selma Lagerlof’s novel The Wonderful Adventuress. The artist Mohamed Al-Ani tries to deliver a message despite the difficulties. There must be hope in every ordeal. There is a beautiful side to it, as happened in the city of Stalingrad, despite the siege, destruction, hunger and death. However, the city’s residents have joined the football match despite their harsh suffering and it was attended by most of the city’s residents. This does not mean that Life stops no matter what happens because of the human nature loving to change and forgetting as much as possible its suffering. There are relationships related to the daily observations of the local environment. The artist remembers what his or her effects, such as the weather of the rain, and how the rainbow appears at the end of the rainy atmosphere, which makes people see it while they are happy despite the disruption of some people’s work, and some do not like the rain, but the rainbow leaves their joy and they forget what they do and also remember The artist buys chocolate bars for himself or for his children or as a gift, as we see the colored balls and remember the atmosphere of Christmas, especially the decorations of the Christmas tree, the colored eggs and the fireworks that decorate the sky at night at the beginning of each new year, and he was not limited to documenting the daily rhythm of the place in which he lives In it, rather, he recorded his observations through his travel to Italy of the artworks dating back to the Renaissance, especially Mosaic, as the Mosaic colored stones did not stop Muhammad Al-Ani to this extent, as he created a dialogue with other artistic trends. Those who follow the history of art find that he is talking to the works of Kandinsky and Paul Klee and Abstract Expressionism of the artistic productions of the artist Rothko And Jackson Pollock has flirted with Op Art for the works of Victor Vasarely and British artist Bridget Riley. Muhammad Al-Ani did not give up his cultural heritage by remembering the oriental carpets with decorative motifs and the work object, a large carpet furnished from the One Thousand And One Nights stories, and there is a link with what happened to the history of electronic engineering related to video games in the seventies and eighties of the last century, which was considered a revolution in the world Video games at the time… When watching the work, the ideas come to him continuously, abundantly, in a series, and smooth, sweeping it quietly, as if it is a fountain from which ideas flow in abundance that makes him turn his memory to find memories, whether personal or information he learned or readers about it. His observations of the night sky at the time of childhood or youth, we mentioned Star cluster observations such as Ursa Major, less bear and others. The work also resembles the astronomical charts and maps of the solar system, planets and stars in school books and specialized magazines. The glass balls that we used to play with during childhood cannot be forgotten With our glass balls between our friends, this connection of building different relationships with the work that causes us to leave the domain of art from time to time to come back to it, this time we reminded us of artistic productions related to Land Art as in the works of the American artist Robert Smithson and the British artist Richard Long as well as one of the works The artist Joseph Beuys, who placed a rope directly on the ground, and because of the simplicity and elegance of the work, reminds us of Donald Judd’s work of industrial luster and wear. Metallic rod. Although Al-Ani used colored balls on a geometrical background, but it is not a design work, as it has spontaneity and spontaneity, moving away from engineering discipline in its distribution of shapes and colors to attract attention. Rather, Muhammad al-Ani did the opposite of that, not attracting the gaze but rather an intellectual influence on the recipient. Among the cultural codes that Al-Ani sends are the circuits of the Olympic Games, as if he was made for this occasion that was not held in Japan as a kind to commemorate this canceled event. The colored balls are an analogy with the components of society. We are different in terms of color, shape and language, but we are similar in emotional and mental terms, and we bear our responsibilities towards society.
There are many and many cases that this work brings us to which are countless, and the reason for the elaborate construction and careful planning by Muhammad Al-Ani, so he succeeded in making the work impose its effect on everyone who sees it if the opposite of that was when we made this work to sift the art area mixed with events and things Al-Ani excelled in creating a dialectical mental dialogue between work and the recipient.
